Hardy to -10 degrees and more. This iris is ideal for growing in a wide range of situations, including quite deep shade. Leave the flower stems on when the flowers have faded so that the red seed pods are formed. I've found this is best grown in a shady spot, in a moist, but well-drained soil, but this is really, really slow to establish.
