Iris 'Runway'

Smoothly shaped and subtly toned, this Arilbred has soft lilac-blue standards and pale ochre falls. Each fall is decorated with a rich red flare, known as a signal, which surounds ochre beards. An Arilbred iris are beautiful and exotic. They are a cross between Aril irises - which come from desert areas - and Tall bearded irises. The offspring produce the best traits of both types of irises. However, the soil has to be well-drained. I find they grow really well in a raised bed.
