Helenium 'Red Jewel'
(Sneezeweed)
The stiffly upright stems are topped with clusters of deep red flowers that are faintly tinged with yellow at the edges. At the base, and a little way up the stems, are long, deep green leaves. This forms a neat upright clump.

Upright plant
A hardy perennial, this is hardy to -10 degrees or more. Likes a soil that retains some moisture, but not too much. Don't allow other plants to crowd the plant when first planted. Dies back in autumn and re emerges in spring. Divide every 3 years or so. Don't divide too small, but keep the plant in big clumps.
