Uvularia grandiflora 'Pallida'

(Greenish bellwort/ Golden bells)

Slender stems spread showly to form a neat clump. These bear soft green leaves and end in one or two long, dangling bells of soft yellow. A lovely plant for a shady position with lots of humus (rotting leaves), the sort found amongst trees

A hardy perennial, this survives temperatures down to -10 degrees and more. The foliage dies back in autumn and emerges again in spring. I have found slugs love Uvularia. Slug 'picking' and other methods are advised in spring if your garden is like by these little beasts.
