The large, fluffy ball like flowers are pink but the colour is not solid on the crimped petals. It runs in rivers on the petals settling into solid pink towards the base of each petal, becoming paler at the top. As the flower opens enough to reveal a ring of gold stamens. The scented flowers are borne on long, leafy stems.
