Peony 'German Medusa'

A broad, rather spreading plant with wonderful deeply divided foliage that is covered with sparys of large, rich red flowers. These open into lightly scented, sem-double flowers and can, on some blooms, produce a further cluster of slender petals that are a mix of staminodes and petalodes. In the centre is a cluster of inward curling, gold stamens. A cross of Paeonia delavayii and P. lactiflora (unknown) pollen, this has the vigour of both parents.
