Hardy to -10 degrees and more, the foliage dies back in autumn and emerges again in spring. Cut back old growth before the new leaves grow in spring. Prefers to be grown in a soil that remains wet in summer, but stays dry in winter. Quite a difficult combination really, but we have no problem growing them in pots.
