A lightly ruffled, plicata patterned flower. The base colour to the petals is cream. On this is layered speckles of lilac or greyed lilac as the breeder, Keith Keppel, calls it. The lilac speckles are so thickly laid on the standards that they are almost entirely lilac.

Bearded irises need to be planted with the rhizome, or root, just above the soil. This is because the rhizome needs to be baked by the sun in order to form flowers. Make sure that there is not too much competition from surrounding plants and remove any weeds.
