The unique blooms of this Tall Bearded iris have rich chocolate, velvety falls. The soft caramel washed standards are handsomely veined with mauve. Adding the finishing touches, and surrounded by white stripes, are dark orange beards. This attractive plant produces up to 25 flowers on slender stems. Mid to late season flowering.
Bearded irises need to be planted with the rhizome, or root, just above the soil. This is because the rhizome needs to be baked by the sun in order to form flowers. Make sure that there is not too much competition from surrounding plants and remove any weeds.
