Most Heleniums are tall, this is much shorter. The large yellow daisies which turn orange as they age are carried on stiff stems with mid-green leaves to form a neat, well-behaved mound. Ideal for smaller gardens or towards the front of a big border.

A hardy perennial, this is hardy to -10 degrees or more. Likes a soil that retains some moisture, but not too much. Don't allow other plants to crowd the plant when first planted. Dies back in autumn and re emerges in spring. Divide every 3 years or so. Don't divide too small, but keep the plant in big clumps.
