Helenium 'Indianersommer'

(Sneezeweed)

Tall stems are topped with open sprays of large, daisy-shaped, orange-red flowers. Each flower has a distinctive knob shaped centre of brown. As the flower ages yellow pollen turns the central cone yellow. The stiff flower stems bear a few long, mid-green leaves. More of a late summer plant, than all summer, this fills the gap between summer and autumn.
