A neat mounding plant is formed from an aray of short stems that are densely encircled with long, grey-green leaves. In winter these are tipped with red, and in spring the ends erupt into a cluster of yellow-green flowers. Introduced by Tim Crowder of Walberton Nursery, East Sussex.
