Eryngium x zabelii 'Big Blue'

(Sea holly)

This has blue flowers, like large upturned cones, that sit in the middle of a spiky collar. At first soft blue, over time they progress to rich blue. The flowers are borne on branched, stiff stems with attractive grey-green spiky leaves that are streaked with white. Great for attracting bees.
