Digitalis purpurea 'Dalmatian Purple'
(Foxglove)
A spike of tubular shaped, purple flowers open all the way up and all around the stiff stems to form a blousier spike than normally found amongst foxgloves. Otherwise it is the same colour as the wild foxglove. The flower spikes rise from a rosette of large, evergreen leaves. A biennial, so allow it to seed about.
