This hardy annual can be sown undercover during March to April and planted outside when large enough in May or June, or outdoors May to June.
If sowing indoors sow seeds into pot or trays filled with a seed sowing compost under cover. Lightly cover seeds with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of 18-20C (68-70F) where germination will usually take place within 14-21days.
If sowing outdoors sow seeds about 1cm (1⁄2”) deep and lightly cover with soil. Water site if dry and germination usually takes place within 21 days.
Cut flowers regularly to encourage growth and to prolong flowering window or deadhead.
