Dictamnus albus

(Burning bush)

This plantsmans plant is rather slow to establish, but boy is it worth waiting for. Straight red stems are topped with a spire of large red veined, red flowers with elegant long stamens. The stems carry, below the flowers, thick deep green leaves. Eventually it forms a beautiful round, upright clump.
