Advolly Richmond is a plants, gardens and social historian based in Shropshire. She is a Champion for the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and a member of the Garden Media Guild. She lectures and writes on a variety of subjects from the 16th century through to the early 20th century. Advolly’s new book ‘A Short History of Flowers: The stories that make our gardens’ was published on 7th March 2024. She also contributes garden history features on BBC's Gardeners’ World and presents plant history profiles for BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time.
