Rachel Siefried: Flower farmer and author of 'Cut Flower Sourcebook'

Rachel Siegfried is one of the world’s leading flower farmers and the author of the bestselling book ‘The Cut Flower Sourcebook: exceptional perennials and woody plants for cutting’. Rachel launched Green & Gorgeous in Oxfordshire in 2008 and has become known for her ‘cultivated palette’ of cut flowers and foliage of nuanced colours, characterful shapes and delicious fragrances.

A flower farming plant-hunter, Rachel seeks out rare and unusual varieties to trial in her fields and vases as cut material. Her focus on sustainability and the impact of climate change has inspired Rachel to specialise in growing perennials and shrubs, which require less water, compost and single use plastics to grow.
