This is the most colourful of all the Ajugas we have grown, and much more compact. Long stems of evergreen, small, oval soft green leaves are marbled with cream and soft maroon. In spring short, upright stems bear a pyramid of small, blue flowers shaped like those of mint.

A hardy perennial this survives temperatures down to -10 and much more. The leaves are evergreen which means they remain most of the year, only to be replaced throughout the year with new leaves. Cut back in spring if the plant looks straggly.
