Who are we?
We are proud to be British nursery growers who are headed by husband and wife owners and supported by a small, enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of full time and seasonal employees. In addition to the large perennial selection we grow, we are National Collection Holders of both a Bearded Iris Collection (full status) and a Hybrid Herbaceous Peony Collection (provisional status).
We're better and more enthusiastic about plants however than we are at blowing our own trumpet, so feel free to browse through our site to find out more about us. Don't forget to 'meet the team'!
We grow our own
With over 25 years experience of growing perennials we know what it takes to grow a good plant.
The majority of the plants we sell are grown on the nursery, which means we can keep an eye on quality and, very importantly, check that our plants are true to name.
Good garden plants
With so many perennials available to gardeners these days, and many more being introduced, choosing what to grow can be bewildering even to the most experienced gardener.
To make selection easier we have chosen varieties that are worthy of a position in the garden and reliable to grow.
Peat free
We have been using peat-free compost for over a decade at the nursery, so the majority of plants we send from the nursery are potted into peat-free compost.
However from time to time it is necessary to source plants from other nurseries, so unfortunately we cannot guarantee every plant is in peat-free compost.
