Many perennials are great for growing in pots. The best ones are small, taking up little root space and needing little attention. They can be put in a container of their own, or in a combination with others.
Caring For Perennials In Pots
Be sure to water them well, but not too often as wet soil can rot them and dry soil will restrict the growth.
Do not fertilise too often as this will create lots of leaves but not many flowers.
Dead-head if you wish, and cut the foliage back in autumn when it dies back.
Replace the soil every year to keep the plants healthy and growing well.
