The petals of the semi-double, soft pink flowers are short enough to form a neat rosette around the circle of soft yellow stamens. The flowers are borne just above handsome deeply divided leaves that are tinged bronze.
Like all tree peonies, this shrub has woody stems that remain above ground throughout the year. Tree peonies need to planted with the grafting union placed at least 10 cm (4 inches) below the soil surface. Prune back any dead growth in spring as soon as the buds turn red.
