The clear primrose yellow flowers of this Tall Bearded iris are beautifully shaped, and made more outstanding by the extravagantly ruffled petals. On the falls, which pale slightly in the centre, are soft yellow beards. A long flowering plant, the flowers are borne on strong stems.
Mid to very late season flowering.
Bearded irises need to be planted with the rhizome, or root, just above the soil. This is because the rhizome needs to be baked by the sun in order to form flowers. Make sure that there is not too much competition from surrounding plants and remove any weeds.
