A hardy perennial, this is hardy to -10 and more. Cut back after flowering, and again before the new leaves appear in spring. All Astrantias can take a little time to establish, but once established they are very easy to grow in most soils. To prevent seedlings from appearing (they do not seed true) remove the flower heads as they finish.
