Allium 'Purple Sensation'

This easily grown allium is wonderful planted amongst early flowering perennials where it will spring above shorter plants. Balls of rosy purple, starry flowers sit on straight, but slender stems. The strappy, mid-green leaves start to die back by the time the flower opens. After the flowers have gone, decorative soft brown seeds are left. In the right soil this will continue to multiply nicely. Flowers May. One large bulb per pot.
