The Plant Centre
The sales area contains a
wide selection of perennials (if you want particular varieties PLEASE
call us first), as well as shrubs, trees, alpines, bulbs, bedding plants
& vegetable plants (in season). We also sell tools, seeds, houseplants
and gifts for the gardener. The garden is just being started (click above
to see the progress so far!!)
We move to the Edgebolton nursery from Shifnal in July 2006. The 5 1/2 acres site gives us plenty of room to expand! Since moved we have revamped the sales area, and included many other plants such as alpines, shrubs, and trees. The gift shop offers a wide range of gifts and we have just begun to plant up our garden.
The garden is situated behind the Cafe and has a cluster of lovely, mature trees, which will allow us to plant up woodland-loving plants. In front of these will be borders of perennials allowing visitors to see how plants develop. Behind we will be planting up a display area of peonies and irises.
The Cafe
Our small and cosy cafe sells home-made cakes & scones, tea and a good cup of cofffee. Light lunches are also available together with breakfast for anyone who arrives before 11.30
How to find Us
The Plant Centre and Garden Shop is located 7 miles north-east of Shrewsbury on the A53 (Shrewsbury to Newcastle-under-Lyne).
For those coming from the Midlands, take the M54 and the A5 to Shrewsbury, then follow the signs for the A53 from traffic island at the end of the main A5 dual carriage way. The Plant Centre is a mile past Shawbury on the right hand side.
