PEONIES

FIELD OF PEONIES
As we have just replanted our crop of peonies there will be almost no flowers this year, which means that we shall not be able to open our field of peonies until next year.

HERBACEOUS PEONIES

Herbaceous Peonies die back totally during the winter months.
The flowers bloom from late May to mid June.
They grow from 75cm (2.5ft) to 105cm (3.5ft) in height.

TREE PEONIES
Tree peonies are woody peonies. This means that the wood stems remain above the soil during winter.
They produce beautiful, large flowers and handsomely divided leaves.
They flower from mid May to mid June and grow from 60cm (2ft) to 90cm (3ft) in height

INTERSECTIONAL (Itoh) PEONIES
These very beautiful peonies are sometimes called Itoh Hybrids. They are the most recent peonies
to appear, and are hybrids between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies.
They produce large, perfectly formed flowers on short wood stems, with very handsome
foliage. They grow into a compact mound about 75cm (2.5ft) to 90cm (3ft) high.
They bloom from early to mid June
