These are the smallest
of all bearded irises and the first to bloom. They are not the easiest
irises to grow as they take a while to establish and in a border situation
as they do not like competition from other plants. However they are ideal
for a rockery, or a special spot that is very well-drained. They bloom
during late April, and grow to only about 15cm (6in) or so high.
